Somersby Park is a magnificent 160-acre private mountain community located adjacent to Jump Off Rock in beautiful Laurel Park. Behind the gated entrance lies a story book setting which comes to life with hardwood and evergreen trees, Rhododendron forests, spring fed streams that flow into intimate ponds, trails and massive sentinels of granite outcroppings. You’ll be able to enjoy the seclusion of a quiet mountain enclave, yet rest comfortably within minutes of the small-town Southern hospitality of downtown Hendersonville, and from culturally rich Asheville. Access to some of the world’s finest fly-fishing, kayaking and canoeing is minutes away. Everything from shopping, dining, art and culture, history, medical care, churches and schools are a short distance from your driveway. All of this plus the mild Western North Carolina climate makes Somersby Park ideal for the outdoor enthusiast.<\/p>\n\n

Somersby Park is a covenanted community that is actively managed by its property owners.\u00a0\u00a0We have an elected Board of Directors from members of the community. The Board and community also rely on volunteer committees, including the Architectural Review Committee whose responsibilities include approving and overseeing new home construction, existing home modifications, and modifications to unimproved lots, the Common Area Committee which oversees the common areas of the community including tree and vegetation removal from the Common Area and the Roads Committee which address road quality and roadside erosion control.
