Somersby Park residents gathered to enjoy each other and the natural beauty around. On this chilly spring evening we welcomed new residents and visitors alike.

Somersby Park men usually gather every first and third Mondays for breakfast at various Henderson County restaurants. This summer due to the pandemic, the group met at the ponds bringing their own hot coffee, vittles and lots of fun stories to share.

Somersby Park men gather twice a month for a good breakfast and chance to catch up.  We gather at various restaurants across Henderson County.  Such an activity is a good example of our camaraderie among neighbors and friends.

Congratulations to Connie for being selected 2018 Parade Grand Marshal of the North Carolina Apple Festival.

In her own words:   “It’s been a joy for 32 years to be a member of one of the finest groups of people who make our North Carolina Apple Festival happen.  Being the Grand Marshal this year is an honor I will treasure.  I hope everyone will enjoy the apples and fun as much as I do.”

Somersby Park has some pretty amazing residents. Among them is Scott B as he recently ran his tenth Boston Marathon. He is one of only 450 people who has ever completed 10 or more consecutive Boston Marathons. Check out photos with captions below in his own words.
