Community Improvements
Hendersonville Water Department upgraded our community with a Pressure Release Valve (PTV) replacement and Vault. The installation project is valued at $100K. Somersby Park residents represented half of the attendants during Laurel Park’s “Community Eco-Enviro Workshop” presented by Steve Pettis of the NC Extension Service. The community learned about sustainable gardening practices, implementing wildfire-resistant landscaping and helping erosion control. Future meetings are scheduled as we continue to enhance our natural beauty and continue to enjoy living in the Western North Carolina mountains.
