Residents gathered for a Sunset Toast and welcome another new resident, visitors and the former ‘Mayor’ of Somersby Park. A fun evening all the way around. We love our neighborhood.
Thanks to David, Ben and Jon for bringing back the shine to our gates. These dedicated neighbors used a little elbow grease and cleaned off the accumulated lichen, moss and dirt. They used mild detergent and water scrubbing with soft brushes and sponge. They even had to haul 27 gallons of water to tackle the back gate. Such an act of dedication and kindness is another example of caring Somersby Park residents.
On Saturday, March 4, residents headed to Tarheel Lanes to help Big Brothers Big Sisters meet their fundraising goal to support one-to-one mentoring for children of Henderson County and across Western North Carolina. It was a great neighborhood gathering of fun and fellowship in addition to helping a good cause. Art, who headed up Bowl-di-locks and the Three Spares team, won highest achiever of fundraising. In addition other residents made donations. Once again Somersby Park leads the way in community giving. Donations accepted through April
Crews are busy preparing for another lot to soon be a busy construction site of homebuilding. As part of planned community improvement projects, several members of the Common Area Committee took advantage of the recent warm weather to assemble a second picnic table for community gatherings and picnics at the ponds. These tables are hefty and durable and should serve the community for many years to come. As warmer spring weather arrives, residents and guests will be ready to try these out.
