Residents of Somersby Park are proud to help keep North Carolina green and clean. On a regular basis, a team of the Adopt-A-Highway gathers on Saturdays to pick up trash and debris along Hebron Road.

Moon over Somersby Park is a surprising sight as August disappears and September rolls in. It won’t be long before the summer green becomes golden autumn. Growth continues in the neighborhood as home construction is underway.

Somersby Park neighbors gathered at Rhododendron Lake and explored historic Laurel Park. Along the way we stopped at cascading falls and informational markers to learn about the settlers and help us appreciate why this is a special place to enjoy and call home.

10 hungry fellows showed up for a tasty hot breakfast and good conversation at the Hendersonville County Club. Different locations are selected throughout Henderson County for the Somersby Park friends to gather every two weeks. It’s always a fun time to catch up with the guys.

What an Entrance

Thanks to David, Ben and Jon for bringing back the shine to our gates. These dedicated neighbors used a little elbow grease and cleaned off the accumulated lichen, moss and dirt. They used mild detergent and water scrubbing with soft brushes and sponge. They even had to haul 27 gallons of water to tackle the back gate. Such an act of dedication and kindness is another example of caring Somersby Park residents.
